Abortion is About a Lot More Than Just Rights

This is an instructive history lesson for the current discourse pertaining to the abortion debate still raging today. Written in December of 1974 by Henry Kissinger, declassified in 1989, he lays out a strategy for implementing depopulation, or population control, in third world countries, because they pose a national security threat to the United States if they get any bigger. What’s to say this same philosophy does not apply to our own domestic land? What is absolutely clear from this memorandum is that abortion is not really just a rights issue but a part of something much bigger: population control. I honestly cannot believe what I’m reading here. Is this legit? Read Sec. I, D, Sec. II, 2, 7, and Sec. IV, 2, 1.

This document was classified when disseminated around the government; and for good reason from Kissinger’s standpoint. Can you imagine the outcry from the public around the time of Roe v. Wade? It is important to note that this particular policy was never implemented. But what it shows to me is a big idea at play. If you go to the link at the top and read quotes from many people concerning population control, it is by no means limited to Kissinger. There are swaths of people who support this very policy, from all areas of academia.

This is now really making me question, even deeper, the overall philosophy and underlying presuppositional worldview driving the left’s agenda and particularly Obama. They are not called the party of death for nothing. Euthanasia, abortion … what’s it all about? Rights? Sure that’s a part of it. But at least according to this document, a philosophy of cultural life was at play 35 years ago, even in the upper echelons of the government, that has persisted to this day and in fact seems to have grown in intensity. And it all comes down to one word: sustainability; the politically correct newspeak word for the real phrase: depopulation. And at some point here, President Obama will take all fetters off the ability to get an abortion. 55,000,000 slaughtered from then until now, with a majority of them being minorities oddly enough. How much longer will we allow this evil to persist as a culture? This is a moral outrage.

“The great necessity is to convince the masses of the population that it is to their individual and national interest to have, on the average, only three and then only two children.” – Henry Kissinger, National Security Study Memorandum 200, II. B. 6

With this general thought at play in convincing the masses of a position, particularly when speaking of how you get a population to reduce its numbers, instead of forcing abortions upon a society to control population growth, like in China, you instead manipulate people to want, desire, and even demand to have an abortion; hence framing the issue in terms of personal “rights.” And this is exactly what the left has done from Roe vs. Wade until now. It is amazing how much foresight Huxley possessed. We have fallen in love with our servitude to something insanely destructive that is ripping our culture apart in the name of what appears to be at least some form of population control. God have mercy on us. Christ is our only hope.
